Assignment 4 (Industry Talk 3)

This assignment involved reviewing two industry talk webinars and designing posters based on the insights shared by professionals from Clarity Techworks Sdn. Bhd. and Air Asia. The speakers from both industry provided an overview of ICT jobs by sharing their work experiences, career paths and advice for students. As part of this assignment, two posters were prepared to summarize the key points from the talks. These posters serve as concise references to help students gain industry insights and begin preparing for their future careers in the ICT field by practising useful skills.

Through this assignment, I gained valuable insights into the ICT industry by learning directly from professionals working at Clarity Techworks Sdn. Bhd. and AirAsia. Listening to the speakers’ real-world experiences helped me better understand the variety of roles and employers’ expectations including specific skills, knowledge and attitudes. This allowed me to apply what I have learned in my studies with the actual industry practices.

By designing posters based on the industry talks also helped me improve my ability to identify key information, summarize important points and present them in a clear, creative and visually organized manner. At the same time, I learned how to filter relevant content from lengthy discussions and transform it into concise references. It enhanced my communication skills, especially in conveying technical and career-related information effectively.

Overall, this assignment increased my awareness of industry expectations and motivated me to start preparing early for my future career. I also understand the importance of continuous learning, adaptability and hands-on experience in a rapidly evolving technology industry.
